I'm pretty much sure, that if your'e multi/tri screening, you may prefer a laptop and a computer and a monitor and a linked phone and a monitor. Which kinda is the best way to play rather than laptop or desktop. So, my choice here (because there is no option) will be both.

I MUCH prefer desktops purely because I like to build them myself and know exactly what everything in my PC is doing, And they are also much cheaper and usually more reliable.

Having said that, I only use a Laptop nowadays as I spend a heap of time away from home :)

desktops definitely. desktops are more productive IMO, easier to play games on a desktop and getting a 200+ FPS on minecraft is always nice ;)

though, my 8 year old laptop is absolutely epic. can start up in about 10 seconds and can run minecraft at a nice ~100fps. laptops are really good for travelling and if you're too lazy to sit at your desktop! :P
