I have a idea that could be cool for the forums. So you know how you are able to message other players whom are online? Well I was thinking if you could create a public chat room for all the users who are online. It just popped into my head so I thought I might post it.

We really don't need one we have a chat the normal one at that we chat with.

I meant somthing more like..... A chat with all the players who are online. (Example is a Skype chat with a bunch of people) and its called the PUBLIC CHATROOM where players can talk about whatever they feel like as long as it is appropriate.

yea the module has chatrooms, and their are allot more chat based modules for forums. I understood you clearly, i worded my msg wrong  derp

This would be awesome xD Kaise had something like this ages ago and also a mumble but it wasn't too popular. Some add-on to the forums or a chat room on kai's site would be prett cool

It'd be possible to run a Mumble, it'd be best to have scheduled times so you'd know when people would be online. I'll talk to Kai about this.

I really want to implement a shoutbox, But I haven't been able to find a good one. If anyone knows a good shoutbox mod that works properly with themes and is compatible with SMF 2, Then that would be brilliant. As for chat rooms, I haven't really looked into it but I know from experience that they  end up very spammy.
