I can't get it to show the appdata folder in the save window that first pops up. Would it work anywhere else?
No, unfortunately it won't. You need to first extract it, then remove everything (Backup your saves, texturepacks, etc and the launcher mcsl.exe) from your appdata\.minecraft folder. Then copy the contents of the .minecraft folder that you extracted into the one in appdata.
Well, I got it. Only problem is my saves aren't loading. They just don't show up in single player. Don't know what I did wrong there. Also, there are no servers already listed in multiplayer, so I no longer have this server, or any others listed, and I don't have any of the IP's.
Did you make a backup of the .minecraft folder you had before? Because, you may have possibly override and deleted the saves and replaced with a empty saves folder.
