Title: KCv2 Official TeamSpeak Server
Post by: Kaise123 on September 30, 2013, 07:33:42 PM
I don't actually think I've made an official post about this despite the fact that it's been available for quite some time now.

KCv2 Has an official TeamSpeak 3 server. It's pretty basic at the moment because nobody uses it, However I thought it would probably be a good idea to publicise it a bit, and expand on it if needed. For those who don't know what TeamSpeak is, It's a free piece of software that lets you join a server to chat with other users. It's sort of like Skype but you don't need to add friends to talk, and you can use different channels and things depending on what you want to talk about. It's availiable for free from: http://www.teamspeak.com/?page=downloads (http://www.teamspeak.com/?page=downloads)

The address is ts.kaise123.com
It currently supports 32 users concurrently.

If you have any suggestions for the TS server reply below (Channels to add, etc). I'll be on from time to time as I am able to use TeamSpeak on my own internet due to the fact that the server is hosted (Not just P2P) so if there's no other incentive, Join so you can talk to me :P

Hope to see you there.

Are you on it now? =P

Well, i should go to bed really xD
Perhaps i'll visit you some time!

Oh, you should check the bukkit-plugin BukkitSpeak (http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/bukkitspeak/)
Its a cool mod to use with Minecraft <-> TeamSpeak :)

Just don't read ThisUserNameIsMine's comments on there... (hint: ;D)

If you find it useful for your server, then consider downloading the dev build from Jenkins,
as those are updated more frequent and include many bug-fixes.

I've been using this for a while now and since i'm often very busy and not always in-game
or at the console, its nice to have the ability to see the in-game chat on TeamSpeak

(you have to enable this in the config first. By default you'll only see messages if someone does /ts chat <message>)

Good Luck & Have Fun!  8) (if you're planning to use it)

Yeah I'll be using the Jenkins builds. I generally get them if there is not a stable/reccommended release for the current version of MC
