Title: [Guide] How to use Residence to protect your builds in KCv2

How to protect
Information and help protecting your build in KCv2
Last updated by Kaise123 on the 17th of February 2013

I prepared a protection guide, and it isn't very good, but hopefully it will suffice to guide you on how to protect.
Here it is: https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B5SaQ59PRiTNakp6ZThhaDZCUkU (https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B5SaQ59PRiTNakp6ZThhaDZCUkU)
The background broke when I uploaded it, and I'll fix that soon.

If you have any issues protecting reply here, or contact me or a member of staff online.

Please note that some limits apply for protections depending on your rank. Here are the limitations:
Please check www.kaise123.com/ranks (http://www.kaise123.com/ranks) for updated limitations :) Thanks

IF you need to protect something that is larger then what you are allowed, or have reached your protection limit, talk to an online moderator who can protect your build for you manually. If you are a very busy builder, talk to me about getting your limit increased.

To add other players to your residence (Allow others to build/access chests, etc there):

Type '/res pset <area name> <player name> trusted true'
to allow them to edit. You must replace '<area name>' with the name of the area (What you called it when you created it) and '<player name>' with the name of the player you want to be able to build.

I can verify that the file is clean, and it has the correct instructions if anyone wants to use this.

Hang on. Wait. Do you think mine is good?
I just kinda did it in 1 hour, lol.

I can spend more time, and make another one if you want, and you can put that one in your post.
I'll make another in another 30 min.

Actually, Instead of looking up and down and doing /res select expand 255, you can do /res select vert to protect the area from bedrock to sky level.
Hope this helps!!  ;D

Hey Kaise!
I'm Brazillian, and my native language is Portuguese. I understand english (I'm still learning, but I have knowledge enough to post here), but it's really difficult to explain to my friends how to protect their houses: everytime they want to protect something, I have to login on their accounts and do it.
I know that a lot of brazillians play on this server, so I translated your tutorial to Portuguese. Here it is:
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B4oZz_kkECaaT2ZYdjdlYS1PU2M

I hope it helps the players who don't understand English and can't to protect their houses!

=====================================

Para quem não entende inglês e fala português, fiz uma versão traduzida do tutorial para proteger as construções no servidor. Espero que seja de grande ajuda a todos! :D

Nice job, I know there's a large Brazilian/Portuguese group of players on the server whom don't speak English. Hopefully it will help them :D

Great function, but i've 3 questions:
1) what's the standard limit of block protection you can create?
2) how can i use "/res select vert", and what it does?
3) create a protection consume money? after some test server says that i've not enouth money  :o

Great questions! The amount you can protect varies with each rank, you can check it out here: http://forums.kaise123.com/index.php?topic=160.0

/res select vert allows you to expand your protect from bedrock to the skylimit and you would type in this command after you've selected both your points. To answer your question about the amount you pay for each protection, it doesn't cost anything on this server, so no worries! Hope this helped and enjoy yourself on the server. :)

Thanks you are great  :D, like this server

however after some test, the server says that i haven't enought money to do other protection... I've solved asking to mod to protect from invasion an area
I immagine that is the same think, except on the reserver area from moderation i can't set any name, like protected area

Are you allowed to use perfect pedigrees on your own website and if so....how do you get it to link when you cant write or copy the HTML code like for your signature?
