News:

This project is (If not obviously) on hold. Mostly due to the number of changes in Minecraft code in the last couple of updates, supporting them takes a long time. When/If the modding community stables out and things start getting updated promptly (Modding API??) I may pick this back up again.

Update December 2015: This is still on hold, however I have released a pre-release/beta client for Minecraft 1.8 (Compatible with 1.8-1.8.8 servers) (LINK (http://www.kaise123.com/mc180beta1)). I recommend you read my reply to this thread for more information (Included mods, etc)

What it is:

My Minecraft client comes pre-packaged in an easy to use installer, and also with several useful mods should you choose to use them. This makes the game easy to install, and also improves your experience of the game without changing the core components, so that the game is enhanced but still relatively similar to the original.

Planned Features:
These are mods or changes I wish to make in future releases of the client.

- Make a Mac version/Installer.

Useful things to know:

If you are playing survival, or just doing a lot of mining, the AutoTool feature is really useful. If you open Options>ControlPack>Configure Options> Change AutoTool to ON. You can also change the order that it uses tools in. It makes it so that when you are mining a particular block it will automatically switch you to the correct tool for the block you are mining. This can be inconvenient if you are using something like WorldEdit and need to left click with the wooden axe, which is why it is off by default.

AutoBlock can also be enabled from Options>ControlPack>Configure Options. It makes it so that whatever you select (Left most by default) Will be placed automatically if you right click while holding a tool. This is very useful when strip mining, as it can be used with torches if you place them all the way in the left slot of your your hot bar and right click, and then continue mining without having to scroll at all to change the item your using.

AutoSword automatically selects your sword when you attack an enemy.

A new feature has just been introduced in client version 9.0, TabbyChat. It allows you to have a lot more control over multiplayer chat, And I reccommend that you look through the configuration by Shift-Clicking the main chat tab (When you open chat, It's the [X] in the top left of the chat area)

Troubleshooting/Help:

This is a helpful section to read if you are having problems installing or running the game IE. Crashes, bugs etc. If nothing relevant is mentioned here, please reply to this post and I will help you usually same day.

Things to do before asking for help:

• Read anything written in the troubleshooting section
• Read reply's and see if your problem is solved there somewhere (I will attempt to add solutions to the troubleshooting guide)
• Get the latest Java from HERE (http://java.com/download)
• Make sure you have 64-Bit Java installed if on a 64-Bit version of Windows

Before trying any availiable solutions, please download and run THIS (http://www.kaise123.com/minecraft/client/dl/tools/kaise123_crashfix_v2.bat) and then install again.   If that does not work, please continue reading to learn how to get an error log.

READ: If the game crashes:

When Minecraft crashes, it usually generates an error report. If it crashes, The launcher SHOULD re open, And show you a bunch of text. If you could copy and paste that and send it to me (Via eMail, forum post, PM, Skype) I'll help you as much as I can and fix bugs if I find them. If no error report is shown, Contact me and I'll walk you through finding and sending it to me manually.

You NEED To have the correct version of Java installed for this to work. Just make sure you have got the most up to date Java from http://java.com/download (http://java.com/download) and that if on a 64 bit computer you MUST have the 64 bit version of Java installed. Just run it, and if it doesn't work check your Java first. If you need help, feel free to post :)

Common problems/solutions:

Minecraft crashes as soon as you join a server or open a singleplayer world
If Minecraft crashes and gives you an error stating that "atioglxx.dll" is the problematic frame, try turning Advanced OpenGL OFF in options, before attempting to play.

It's already on my list for future releases :) That list ATM is for what is currently in the client. My next release and hopefully all future ones will include NEI.

The OP is finally complete :) Please give feedback if I misspelled anything or missed something out...

The 1.3.2 prerelease client is actually quite buggy, i was on Bublecraft building my town, when breaking blocks the item in my hand switches to another item, it is as if an update has occurred to the item in my hand when breaking a block. I'm not sure if it's my net or the client, but i seem to get huge lag spikes at equal intervals and sound lag (only occurs on SMP). Overall the prelease is a tad bit buggy, but the full/offical release would hopefully have all the bugs fixed. Thanks!

Yeah, That's why it's labelled as 'VERY Buggy'  :P

I have not experienced the problem with the lag spikes... have you tried fiddling with your optifine settings? Also the items switching while mining is deliberate, it's AutoTool. You can configure it in options but it will use your weakest tool first and it will switch you out of the tool if you attempt to mine something it isn't made for to save uses :)

OK. Everything is moving far too slow on the modding scene, so I'm just guna make a new client with the mods that all my clients previously had + a couple more, but with TMI rather then NEI and whatever conflicts after that. Will be out within the next 3 days (Or whenever I get internet, I'm hoping that will be within the next 3 days)

First I would like to say that I love your download, and second I would like to ask if there is a problem with WorldEdit CUI? Because for some reason I can't see it when I am making selections.

World Edit CUI is not actually working properly in this version of the client, it used to work before in the older clients.

Yeah if you look in the known bugs it says it doesn't work... I have no idea why but I'll try to fix it

Very sorry for the late reply, for some reason this didn't show up as unread.

It shouldn't download packages at all, are you installing it in the default location (appdata)?
Do you have admin privelages on the computer you are on?

Are you using Kaise's client installer?

I'm using the minecraft_installer_6.1.0, and I also tried the Run_ME file.

Ok my Minecraft starts up again, but there's no mods for for it, I pressed the minecrack installer button in the options menu, its fine I can play without mods.

During the installation there was a choice of modded or vanilla minecraft, you may have chosen the vanilla version.

I believe choosing to install Minecrack erases all my modifications and just installs Minecrack.

If you want, delete the .minecraft folder in appdata (Be sure to back up Saves etc) and install again.

actually the whole world edit gui is bugged for the recent version... dont know why but it just doesnt work right now

Yea I noticed that. It's in the OP as something I know doesn't work

I will probably be releasing an update in the near future that updates mods, and maybe adds NEI if I can get it to work now that everything should be updated. I am not 100% sure that I will, but if I have the time I'll make one and upload it sometime in the next 2 weeks.

In your next client release also remove Bublecraft from the server list as it is no longer online anymore.

1.4.4. All works pretty good, Just missing Single Player Commands and WorldEdit CUI.

You have a slight typo in the 1.4.5 URL. There's an extra "h" in the beginning. Nothing serious, but I was wondering why link didn't work for me -facepalm-

i downloaded an fully clean minecraft jar too still black screen

It doesn't have all mods, It's just a temporary thing as 1.4.7 is coming out very soon. It doesn't have a proper install program, And the batch file won't work if you are on Windows XP (You will need to install it manually into appdata)

WorldEdit CUI is working in this version, And it has NEI, CJB's, And most of the things that you need for it to be useful.

Thanks for the quick response Kaise, so I moved the .minecraft and the install batch file to the app data etc.
then ran the bat command prompt file and it said error occurred  while processing, specified file not found. so what is it that I should do at this point?

Well I made a breakthrough, So I had to install 1.4.5 then replace the files with the ones given in the new download then ran it and viola! Mods still intact and everything, I have not tested any servers just yet cause as we all know this time of day Kaise's server is FULL! I will be making a donation soon I am completely in love with minecraft and can not seem to get away from it other then while I am at work. If I could say anything about Kaise's client I would say it is by far the best ever! Thanks Kaise!

And to Kaise: For some reason new items (more specifically fireworks) are kind of buggy. When you craft exploding fireworks or firework stars they revert to their initial ingredients and are unusable.

WorldEdit is working fine, And so is the CUI.

As for the crafting issue, I know about it and it will be/is fixed.

I uninstalled and ran the new torrented 1.4.7 and one it all installed I logged and and the usual "installing minecraft" retrieving minecraft... popped up but once it finished the screen went black what to do

It shouldn't say 'Installing Minecraft' or 'Updating Minecraft' or anything like that. Make sure you run the crashfix and then reinstall. If you still have the issue try reinstalling and launching the game while disconnected from the Internet.

I am having same problem it says installing minecraft but when it finishes it doesnt work and goes black i ran crash fix no effect

Hmm.... I'll check this out.

Sorry everyone, It is my fault. I'm not sure how but I compiled the installer and uploaded it without some crucial files that are required to make it work. I will upload a fixed version ASAP, But if you know what you are doing you can fix it yourself by installing LWJGL into the minecraft directory in the correct places.

I'm Having the same problem with my minecraft and now i cant play i have no idea what to do this is the first time this has happend to me

delete the META-INF file if you're having problems with a black screen after logging in.

search %appdata% in your search function in Windows.
use WinRAR to open the minecraft.jar in your minecraft folder
find the 'META-INF' folder
delete it

after that, re-open Minecraft and it should work. :)

If the game starts downloading packages it's probably not Meta-Inf. Try completely removing and then re-installing the game.

this is the best minecraft release ive ever encounter. improving minecraft by only including mods that simplify things in minecraft, making things easier and does not make minecraft a chore. notch, imho, is not a great game designer. what happens to minecraft is sheer luck. thanks for fixing notch needless chore design.

i have few suggestion that i think could be package in an extended Kaise123 release
1. include mods that adds more content without breaking the lore.(more creatures, denser etc)
2. include mods that really enhance the graphics.

Thanks :) That's pretty much what I'm trying to do. Notch however, does not actively develop the game any more.

If ever I come across new mods that are suitable I add them, But I don't want to add too many mods that add new items or blocks to the game due to incompatibilities and because it strays from the vanillaness of the game. As for enhancing the graphics, You can just use a HD texture pack. While there is the shaders mod that significantly improves the graphics, it's VERY buggy and produces many visual artefacts that make the game almost unplayable.

When you registered your ready to login so do /login [password] .

Not sure if this is a game or a launcher problem, but i'm getting an animal bug where the wolves and the cats are spawning right onto of me and mobbing me. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling using your launcher and run a fully modded set.  I also run three other mods, timber! Backpacks and Steve's Carts 2. Happens in Singleplayer, don't know about multi because I only played single player. Plus also had the launcher and the issue for the last 12 hours.

could be a launcher problem where one of the mods or something is corrupt. i would put my bet on game problem, though i'm no expert

Your not the first person to report this but I have no idea what causes it as I've never seen it happen myself (And I've tested on quite a few different computers). Have you tried running it without the extra mods? Whate Gamemode does it happen in?

I did try with a clean install and had the same problem. It only happens in single player, and I did some research.  Either the version that is with the client is an unofficial test one instead of the release one, but i'm not sure.  What i do know is that I found a video in which all one had to do was log in during a single player game and it fixed the problem.

Yeah it does work with the MAC.

It works with a mac, but not in it's default state. A zip download wouldn't help either as the mac natives are different from the windows ones.

I have made a mac client before but my access to Mac's is limited so I don't have much of an opportunity to test it. I'll try to add a mac DMG for my 1.5 client

And as another update, I'm having some trouble getting a decent fly mod up and running. All of them seem to have issues at this stage but CJB said that his fly mod will be updated soon and will solve the controllability issues, So the release will be delayed slightly.

As a side note: this problem persists in many servers including KCV2; I also can't see items I hold in my hand.

You need to install the correct graphics card drivers for your computer. If it still doesn't work, your graphics card may not support the correct OpenGL standard (If it is very old).

Hey I'm using your client (Minecraft 1.5.2 version) to create my own modded version of Minecraft similar to the FTB mod pack. I like that you include Forge which saves me some trouble. I do however really need to use NEI (Not Enough Items) because of all the recipes that the mods I'm using have (35+ mods). I tried installing NEI on your client but the game gets stuck when generating the world (at 'Building Terrain'). All other mods found in the FTB pack seem to work fine when installed manually. NEI is definitely the cause of the problem. I didn't have this issue with NEI when I was using your client version 1.4.5

Is NEI going to be included in future releases? TooManyItems is pretty bad and has no recipes. My friends really want to update to 1.5.2 but they can't unless NEI works.

I believe that there is no way to overwrite TMI with NEI, perhaps you could manually find TMI files and delete them and then try to instal NEI (In my opinion TMI is better)

If you remove TMI Manually (Remove it's class files and replace them with the originals) then put NEI it will work. I also really prefer NEI over TMI, However it doesn't work in SinglePlayer with VoxelFlight, and there is no other good flight mod out at the moment. If you only want it for Multiplayer, it will work fine. Otherwise you'll need to remove VoxelFlight

Yes, there are ways to get non-premium skins... But generally most people won't be able to see them. At some stage I'll probably set up a system like this in my own client. For the most part though, Premium skins are the only kind that all other players can see.

Yes you can have Texturepack (Resoucepack) in 1.6.4, search YouTube, you'll figure it out easier.

Sounds like an issue with your computer (Also sounds like you are using Internet Explorer, which is a bad idea in itself). Did you use the direct download or the torrent? If you use the direct download, you need to use a program like WinRAR to extract it. If you use the torrent, you can just install it directly with no issues.

hi, it would be very nice, if you make the launcher portable... without needing the appdata or userfolder.

-its nice for completely have different versions for testing, and can deleting the whole folder if not needed anymore. and nice for school, too

-and it would be nice, if you can mod a jarfile without overwriting it.

Hi, I have a question. I have tried both Kaise's client and the Sparamoule Minecraft Open Launcher (both downloaded from this site) and no matter what, I cannot get it to run on a Windows XP 32-bit system. It works fine on a 64-bit WIndows 7, except for... well, see below, please.

Are there any special instructions for the setup of your client, or Sparamoule's client, on such a system?

And a weird quirk I noticed, although this may better fit in the other topic for Sparamoule's launcher; the launcher will not open on a 64-bit system (Windows 7) unless I put a blank "minecraft" folder in "C:\Users\***\". I haven't tried this with Kaise's client, but I assume this would not occur.

This is because Win XP treats files and organizes folder on a different way, so only solution would be to manually install the game and the mods.

I kind of figured that out... thanks for the reply, though.

... where do I need to put the files, and which files do I need, in order to actually launch the game?

The idea of the installer is not to make it portable. It's more difficult to set up the new launcher as a portable one, and it's also more difficult to make it work with certain mods. You can always find a launcher that was made to be portable and use that.

I've talked to people who have used my client fine on Windows XP. Can you tell me what actually happens when you try to use it? Can you open the launcher at all? Is there any error message?

Do you have the very latest version of Java installed? You need at least Java 7 for it to work correctly.

it´s installed to: "C:\ProgramExtra\KaiseClient\clientversions\KaiseClient9.0" & i can´t change the directory :(... and i can´t find out, how to start it.

can you make you client portable? So you don´t need the %appdata%- or user-folder, etc. it would be nice for school & edeting, etc.

You can manually move the directory if you want, but it cannot be installed to another directory due to permission issues. There will never be a portable version of my full client, As it's too hard to maintain. Perhaps the light version, or you can make a portable version yourself.

i can´t do it myself.. i have no idea how to do that. It would be very nice, if the light-version would be a portable one. Where can i find it - and do you know when it will be ready - februar 2014 or summer 2014 or... ?

The light version MAY have a portable option, if possible. I am not sure when it will be released. Currently there isn't even a Forge build out for 1.7, So it could be a while.

Yeah... At the time of posting there was no Forge out for 1.7 at all. Even now there are a lot of mods still needing work. Even though there is a Forge out.

Not at the moment. The changes in Minecraft 1.7 were so major that it's become a lot more difficult to maintain. I may still update this in the future but it's not sustainable, as there are so many changes and too many updates to keep up with.

I have copied  entire folder .Minecraft on % appdata% folder, by replacing all the files, correct? also deleted the old folder where last launcher work (in my case c\.minecraft)...

Should work like that, Yeah. I tested it with KeiNett Launcher and it worked fine. What doesn't work about it? You do need to select the profile 'KaiseClient' in the launcher.

EDIT: there are some instruction to enable fly mode? seems doesn't work though server have enabled it

I've just uploaded an updated pack for my client, with the base game as Minecraft 1.8.0. This is compatible with all 1.8.X servers up to 1.8.8.

I've had a few people ask me for information as to whether I will continue to update this client/installer or not, and I'm really not sure. If when Minecraft 1.9 releases mods are still readily updated I will continue with the project, but I will not maintain it like I once did. The demand for the client has dropped considerably, and changes to the game have made it harder to maintain also.

This 1.8 version includes a fair few of the old mods, although some have been substituted for different ones with similar functionality. There may be some bugs due to conflicts with versions, and some mods are still in their beta stage, however it has a majority of the most used mods with full functionality. Currently, it includes the following:

- NotEnoughItems
- InventoryTweaks
- JourneyMap (NEW - Enhanced functionality over Rei's MM)
- DaFlight (NEW - Fly mod with classic controls. Works much better than VoxelFlight did)
- WorldEditCUI
- OptiFine
- TabbyChat
- WorldEdit Forge (For WorldEdit in singleplayer)
- ZyinsHUD

Let me know if you have any questions about this version. It requires you to manually drop the files into Appdata/roaming, and includes a launcher. You will probably need to adjust some controls and positions of windows for it to work correctly for you, and depending on your screen resolution.
