mouse not working and not online for a while

last week I was trying to play minecraft and half way when playing my mouse died and never work again beacuse my mouse is not gaming mouse and I will not be online for a while of my mouse I was trying to get a new mouse just for minecraft and portal so guys if you think what happend to me this is the reason why

Was it a wireless or cord mouse? If it was wireless maybe the battery is out.
