okay but i had originally tried just running this launcher and had received the same error. i only extracted it after the first attempts didn't work and i thought i read somewhere in this topic about extracting. what is this class that i'm missing? is it supposed to be somewhere in the .minecraft folder?

EDIT: by the way, i did update java before any of this seeing as it was a requirement when i updated minecraft... Kaise123, you said it was an issue with the file? i did try looking at the contents of it after extracting, did a search on the class and the computer could not find it in there. do you know if it could have been overlooked when the person made this file?

The file works, there shouldn't be any error. Have you tried both the EXE and the Jar versions? Otherwise, I'll post an alternate launcher next time I can (I've got very limited internet access here in France, currently posting this from my phone)

Can you make this work with Java 6, like the official one? My distro doesn't have Java 7 yet.

What distro are you running? Java 7 has been around for a while, it shouldn't be an issue to upgrade. Unfortunately I cannot make it Java 6 compatible.

Great! Not sure why the EXE version didn't work for you.... What operating system are you running? And yes, You can install mods as long as you use the new method for 1.6.

i am running windows 7, so yeah i don't get why the EXE didn't work. it should have. but whatever, i'm just happy that this one works. learned how to install mods for 1.6 too. they sure changed a bunch of stuff eh? but i think it's all pretty cool. especially the part where you can run on any version. anyways, thanks a lot for your help. and thanks for having this launcher. without it i would probably be stuck playing the old 1.5.2 and the old mods lol cheers man!

Download the Windows EXE if you are running Windows, Otherwise use the Jar. Requires Java 6/1.6 or above, and should work on Windows XP, Vista (If your lucky), 7, 8.

anyway, if someone have a trouble or it have problems or something, just search on the pirate bay's site "Minecraft 1.6.2 cracked launcher"
I did that for my first 1.6.2, its fully working. And one more tip, download the minecraft 1.6.2 cracked launcher uploaded by TeamExtreme.

This is just the launcher (Used to open the game, and will download the latest copy automatically) whereas the one in the other thread is an entire client (Includes a specific version of the game, with modifications and all required files to run it)
