Update 13/02/2013 - Dynmap, PvP World News and More Protections!

This morning I upgraded the server, So it now has 5.5GB of RAM with a Quad core CPU. This means that we now have the resources to add more worlds to the server without the fear of causing lag, And I could also add Dynmap which is a very cool plugin that allows you to view the server similarly to Google maps in your web browser.

I'd just like to thank EVERYONE who has bought a rank or donated in any form through their time on the server. IT goes a very long way and is much appreciated Thanks.

Now to the facts. I have already installed both Multiverse and Dynmap, So you'll now see the world's name in front of your prefix. I'm not sure if this is going to stay there or not, I'll see what happens and what I'll do as far as world names go. There WILL be a survival-based PvP World available to anyone who is Citizen or above in game, However we need to set it up first. Once I have everything set up server-side, I'm going to hand over to my friend Wanyama and the other staff members to design a spawn/whatever area in that world.

When it is ready, Anyone Citizen and above will be able to teleport there, Although their inventory and level stats will be separate from that of the main world, To prevent players with things like God Armour and weaponry getting in. We'll let you know when it's all ready to go, And how to get there.

There will be NO spawning, Flying, Etc allowed in the survival world. PvP will be open unless your in a party (Factions, Maybe? )

As for Dynmap, That's already running fine, And you can access it from http://server.kaise123.com:25563/ NEW ADDRESS http://server.kaise123.com:8123/, However please be aware that it may take some time to actually render all of the world, Please be patient. As for the chat, Even though it says you need to register you'll get a notification in game saying that you can't register. That's because that hasn't been set up yet as I don't know what I want to do with the chat as far as permissions to use it, etc.

And as a final update, I've upgraded the number of protections and areas for each rank. Please check on the Official Ranks Guide for info on the updates (Citizen, Builder and VIP have changed).

Ps. We now have 38 slots. I don't plan on adding ANY more slots to the server due to manageability issues.

I love the MultiVerse idea, 38 slots seems like a fair amount too.
And for the PvP world, I think factions are a good idea, maybe without raiding/griefing if you don't like that.


Maybe a third player rank too? So that people don't leave at builder

yea today i spent 5 hours on the survival world, i spawned it and have basically completed the spawn. if MODS (only mods+) want access to it, then they will need to ask me or kai when we are on the server. there will be no griefing but raiding WILL be allowed.

also, i suggested a 3rd player rank. im thinking it out currently myself before putting the idea forward.

Ooo make the new rank be able to spawn a few items builders can't...well i can't think of them but anyways make it hard to achieve,
ranks are getting a bit too easy to achieve, well its my opinion, but as i was saying make it a challenge to get

I'm thinking of having a former Bublecraft rank, Contributor. Back when Bublecraft was still active, the Contributor rank was either for good commitment to the server or a small payment of money ($4). Please take this opinion into consideration. Thanks!

Hmm yeah that could be a good idea. what sorts of things would classify as commitment? Long play time or something the player did in the server to benefit the community?

I would say players whom have stayed and assisted on KCv2's growth for a while. i.e. Players who are notable of helping others often, giving suggestions which have been implemented onto the server and etc.
