Well, the long wait is finally over!
Mojang has finally released the date of when Minecraft 1.6 will be released!
According to the wiki, MC 1.6 or "Horse Update" will be released on
~~June 26, 2013~~!!!!
Screw That, That was the pre-release...
The official 1.6 Client will be released on...
JULY 1, 2013
Be prepared for a few server shut downs due to this major update!
Also be prepared for Horse races, Decorative Carpets, Leads to help in collecting animals, Zombies spawning more zombie friends, and chests in nether fortresses!!!!!

sorry to burst your excitement, but the update is officially coming out July 1st. its on the Mojang website if you want to check it for yourself.

Cool. Will these horses need saddles and taming as wolves do by any chance?
I'd hate it if you need to tame it...

yes horses do need saddles(if you want to control them) and taming(you tame them by riding them a few times)

yes horses do need saddles(if you want to control them) and taming(you tame them by riding them a few times)

The server won't update straight away, As usual. Everyone will have to wait a while for a stable Spigot release, And for me to have time to update everything. Expect to wait ~A week after release, Possibly longer before the server updates.
