So what's the point of the servers updating to 1.6 if no one can play on it?

But, now the servers are updated to 1.6.1 so I don't need offline

The Minecraft wants me to login on some other minecraft thing that I can't because I don't have an account for it.

I'm having trouble updating to 1.6.1 and I can't reinstal it in 1.6.1

Is it possible to make  adventure maps and put it up to download so people who have minecraft from this person can play it?

Will mods like buildcraft work on this version of minecraft as long as the mod is updated to the right version and work on normal minecraft?

How do you play on minecraft with a world you create instead of a server?

It doesn't read my password. 

All it lets me do is walk around the spawn block and try to break stuff

When I go in my account and try to play online it says either my username is to long or I can't connect. When I play offline it's lets me play on each server but, I can't do anything because I'm offline.

Can some one help me? I downloaded this persons minecraft and made an account for both this and the minecraft thing but, it won't work.
