Most Minecraft games for mobile devices are quite disappointing whether it be through gameplay features or controls. The Blockheads is possibly the best minecraft-like game available. Essentially it's a minecraft/terraria mix and it works suprisingly well on mobile devices. I played for close to a month on my iPad and was addicted until it became too much effort to progress as each action takes varying amounts of time or 'time crystals (in app purchase' - was uncrackable as far as i knew, now it's been cracked). Apparently now actions such as smelting, crafting etc can be run in the background to save you leaving your device on while you go do something else. The 2P multiplayer makes it even better as you can join a friend or random in their or your world.

It's free, highly rated and extremely addictive (don't say I didn't warn you). Best played on iPad Mini or iPad as the extra screen real estate really makes it worth the hours you'll be staring at the screen.

I think something like this with at least 4 player support would be a killer game for today's mobile society. Cross platform multiplayer would be seriously cool but it has to be developed for android first i guess.

There is also a hack available to it, which makes it much more addicting.

It allows you to have free time crystals. For that, you need to jailbreak your iPhone/iPad/iPod by evasi0n:

Then, download an application in the jailbreak store (cydia) called IAPFree, and you can get free time crystals.

You can aslo get the game for free which is not recommended because it is good if you support the develepors by buying it legit, but it is good to test the game first, maybe you don't like it and then you've wasted your money, but if you do like it. I recommend buying it. Anyways download it cracked from here.

Yeah when i was playing iapfree wasn't able to but i think that V4 now can with the installation of a plugin. Either way, I don't play atm but i might when I'm really bored. You play it?

Yes I actually do play it, and it's pretty addicting and at the same time a bit challenging. And your right, it can be cracked using the plugin which can be download from iap free itself.
