i think we should add the portal gun mod to the server to help make it easier to move around and stuff

Not just that but for a lot of reasons, we CANNOT add any mods to the server that add things that were not originally in the game. Therefore, anything that adds blocks, new sounds, mobs, or other additions cannot be added.

Just use /warp

That is one of the reasons that I don't want to either. Although not EVERY mod requires a client mod, there is alot that is entailed with mods like this.
