Mineraft not updating

recently the server that i play on upgraded to 1.7.2 but when i try to update minecraft it says gave up trying to download bla bla and it always fail plz help im no longer to play minecraft and since i was updating my sounds ingame went since it failed to download i really need help i tried reinstalling the client but it is 1.6.2 and im stuck on this version :/

Download a launcher compatible with 1.7.X (Like http://adf.ly/adal1) and then follow these steps:

Open the launcher
Click 'New Profile' in the bottom left corner
In 'Profile Name' call it whatever you want
Under 'Use version' select 'Use latest version'
Save Profile

Now just log back in (Put in your username or click Play) and then click Play, And it will download the latest version (1.7.5 at the time of writing)

ok.
I missed pCont.particleTM in on ChannelsUsed.

But  even now the particles arent updating at render time.

Nobody can help?
