Kai is currently in the process of putting mods and configs together, he has a semi-complete client and is still being tested. So maybe soon in the coming days.

No, unfortunately it won't. You need to first extract it, then remove everything (Backup your saves, texturepacks, etc and the launcher mcsl.exe) from your appdata\.minecraft folder. Then copy the contents of the .minecraft folder that you extracted into the one in appdata.

It says I don't have the right thing to open it with. I think I get the rest, I just can't extract it.

You need something like WinRar to extract it. Get it from: http://www.rarlab.com/rar/wrar420.exe

Well, I got it. Only problem is my saves aren't loading. They just don't show up in single player. Don't know what I did wrong there.

Also, there are no servers already listed in multiplayer, so I no longer have this server, or any others listed, and I don't have any of the IP's.

Did you make a backup of the .minecraft folder you had before? Because, you may have possibly override and deleted the saves and replaced with a empty saves folder.

I just went ahead and started over. I did make a backup of my one save I had((after accidentally deleting everything I'd made once already)), so that's covered. After the second try, everything was in order where it should be, at last. I'm not the most tech-experienced person, but I figured it out in the end. And I have extras of everything. Thanks for all the advice.
