How come you can't log in as 'Jelli' and then use '/res pset <area name> Jelli589 trusted true' ?

From the problem, it seems to me as if he was set to an unknown rank. I've seen this problem before, those who are set to an unknown rank can't do commands at all (I presume they can't login either, but I'm not too sure).

I can't set your Jelli account to Guest at the moment, will someone with access to it set him to guest?

It doesnt make sense though, because even if they made one with my username, for me to get the skin I would need their password. Else I'd get the normal steve skin

Minecraft skin is associated to a username and this is a cracked server, so yes you will have skin if someone bought Minecraft to your nick.

What he means is that, if you have a cracked client with an account that you don't own (Example, Notch) and log on to the server with it, it will have Notch's skin. However, if Notch were to change his skin at any point in time, the skin change would show on the server.

Is that clearer?

Just letting ya know, if you ask us to hurry up it doesn't help the updating process. We already try to update the server to the latest version as soon as possible, so there is no need to make a thread asking us to "hurry up."

We also have to wait for some of our plugins to update to the newest MC, as well, so don't expect an instant update
